kickstarter funded

well, if you’ve been following our IDSTUDIOS Facebook Page or our individual pages, you probably know by now that our very first kickstarter was successfully funded!!! we even managed to create some stretch goals in order to make the finished product of The Blueprint 2 as beautiful as we can make it. so now, all the books will be hardcover, include a dust jacket, and have some nice spot gloss. cuz we fancy!

HUGE HUGE THANK YOUS to everyone that pledged and shared for helping us turn this book into a reality. if you backed the kickstarter, you’ll get updates periodically as we put the book together. as far as updates on this website, it may be a little while before we’re able to update much. each of us are working hard to finish the art. half of the art in the book is complete, the other half is what we’re powering through now.

somehow, between all the work we’re doing for our book as well as our other projects, we’re going to be attending Baltimore Comic Con on Labor Day weekend! see you there!

ID Comics Studios will be launching its first KICKSTARTER CAMPAIGN on JULY 11, 2016 – and we want u to join us for the party! use this hashtag #IDBLUEPRINT2 to spread the word!! the kickstarter will be for an anthology book of short stories – all illustrated by the 3 studio members Jerry Gaylord, Bryan K Turner, and Penelope R. Gaylord. we will be working with some great writer friends – Kenny Groom and Jeffrey & Susan Bridges – to give these stories the fun, strong backbones that they need. we’ll have some great rewards for those that are willing to support the project with us to make this nearly decade-long dream become reality!

We’ve created a Facebook Invite to remind folks of the Kickstarter’s launch date – July 11, 2016. head on over to the ID FACEBOOK PAGE to accept the invite as well as see behind-the-scenes art that we’ll be posting throughout the campaign. wear ur party shirts, kids, cuz it’s gonna be fun times!

IDCREW LOADINGSNACKS
ID CREW and Loading Snacks Crew!

hey guys! well we’ve managed to survive the first half of comic con season with our 3 back to back to back conventions behind us. we went from Virginia Beach to Orlando to Washington DC and now we’re home! this awesome selfie is with the cool guys of the podcast/youtube Loading Snacks! it’s always a pleasure to see them, especially at our home show of Awesome Con. we’re still gathering our pictures from each of these cons but on top of all of that, we’re thinking ahead!!!

1st kickstarter announcement

we’re going to be launching a studio kickstarter finally with some of our stories that we’ve had floating in our brains since we started this studio like 10 years ago! phew!! we’ve been bustin our collective behinds breaking into the comics industry and recently the animation industry, all from an area where neither of those things are commonly found. and now we’re finally able to revisit our creator-owned ideas & stories with all the knowledge we’ve learned since we started this ride. the kickstarter is going to an anthology of a few short stories that will later be turned into a bigger story. more info will come as we get closer to launching it in JULY.¬†keep an eye on our ID FACEBOOK PAGEfacebook.com/IdentityComicsStudio¬† for more current info on that!

so 2016 is already a month in! we’ve even got our first blizzard and we actually quite enjoyed it. we took a major break from this website after CTNX because of the holidays but if you follow us on any of our social media outlets, you know we’re still here drawing and getting work done.

usually in the beginning of the year we tend to have a little bit more time on our hands until the first set of comic cons start rolling in. and this year we won’t have our first official comic convention until May. we’ve started doing some daily sketches and we’re taking turns coming up with topics. here are just a few of our favorites. be sure to LIKE our Facebook page – facebook.com/IdentityComicsStudio for more frequent updates including our daily sketches.

IDSTUDIOS & JG Quintel (The Regular Show)

we had an AH-MAZING time at NYCC this year! we had our best show ever, individually and as a group. this is the first time we’ve each had our own full tables at the show – it was a whole lotta IDSTUDIOS in a row. and we were surrounded by some super cool lady artists as well. it was certainly a great row to be a part of. then we went to an exclusive Cartoon Network screening of¬†The Regular Show: The Movie where we met JG Quintel (creator). we even went to the Cartoon Network after party at a too-swanky club to meet other animators & people in the industry. it was an amazing weekend to say the least. we had such a good time, in fact, that it took us a while to post up pictures from the show on our IDSTUDIOS FACEBOOK PAGE. thank you to each and every single person that came by our tables and picked up all sorts of goodies. your support for what we do is extremely important and hugely appreciated.

all of our pictures are posted up online. these are just a few of them, you can view them all on our page or follow this link to get to the album – https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.498289373663921.1073741865.113793732113489&type=1&l=c9e2a20c82 give us a LIKE while you’re there!

hey guys! now that we’re all fully rested from new york comic con, we’re finally posting some convention pics on our ID STUDIOS FACEBOOK PAGE. head there now and give us a LIKE while you’re at it. =) we’re starting with Baltimore Comic Con from Sept. 25-27. these are just a handful of pictures from the convention. you can see all of the pictures of commissions & sketches on our facebook page OR you can just follow this link –

thank you again for coming by both of our tables at that con. i know it was weird to see Peng-Peng and theFranchize separated like that. we promise we are still married and love each other dearly. (everyone was so sweet to ask.) we decided to attend the convention very late so the con organizers were kind enough to give us whatever tables were available & we were happy to accept.

this weekend, Jerry & Penelope Gaylord are going to be guests again at Twin Tiers Comic Con in Elmira, NY! everyone just makes this show great so we’re always looking forward to it every year. the people that run it are super nice, the folks that attend are even nicer still. after San Diego, we had to restock a few of our prints so we’ll have them for this con! we will also be bringing any Bill and Ted’s Most Triumphant Return books we have, including the most recent and last issue that came out on Wednesday Aug. 12th! and as always, we will be doing sketches at the con.

this year they have a new after party with some Drink & Draw fun. all the money from the art sold will go to Heroes Initiative. we’ll be there to draw some fun stuff so if you’re planning on attending, try to come to the party! it’s free to get in so there’s little reason not to (unless you’re under 21, which means u can’t). get more info about the event on the T2C2 Facebook Page!

well, we’ve survived our first time setting up at San Diego Comic Con’s artist alley last month. some of us came home with the con flu, so we had to take some time to recuperate. but now we’re all back in the full swing of work and new opportunities and our pictures from the show are finally posted up on our ID STUDIOS FACEBOOK PAGE!

these are the commissions that we each did at the show. to see all of our pictures, u can follow this link – https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.467904156702443.1073741862.113793732113489&type=1&l=5a4c9e1c45

we had an amazing time there! it was probably the most tiresome con we’ve ever done, not just during the show but including all the prep we did before we even went out there! but we met some great new people, made some cool new friends, and of course we left with some cool fun stuff that only SDCC can give ya! i hope this won’t be the last time we exhibit because it was just an awesome experience. HUGE THANK YOU to everybody that came by each of our tables and showed us some love. next year hopefully we’ll have tons of new things to show you guys!
