come and find us at New York Comic Con this weekend – ARTIST ALLEY TABLES N12-N13-N14! we’ll have prints, comics, and original art with us. and of course, we’ll be doing sketches all weekend long. see you guys there!
we had an AH-MAZING time at NYCC this year! we had our best show ever, individually and as a group. this is the first time we’ve each had our own full tables at the show – it was a whole lotta IDSTUDIOS in a row. and we were surrounded by some super cool lady artists as well. it was certainly a great row to be a part of. then we went to an exclusive Cartoon Network screening of The Regular Show: The Movie where we met JG Quintel (creator). we even went to the Cartoon Network after party at a too-swanky club to meet other animators & people in the industry. it was an amazing weekend to say the least. we had such a good time, in fact, that it took us a while to post up pictures from the show on our IDSTUDIOS FACEBOOK PAGE. thank you to each and every single person that came by our tables and picked up all sorts of goodies. your support for what we do is extremely important and hugely appreciated.
all of our pictures are posted up online. these are just a few of them, you can view them all on our page or follow this link to get to the album – https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.498289373663921.1073741865.113793732113489&type=1&l=c9e2a20c82 give us a LIKE while you’re there!
it’s already time for New York Comic Con! all 3 members of IDSTUDIOS will be together again, this time we’ll have 3 separate tables in artist alley for maximum dopeness. Bryan “Flash” Turner will be at TABLE N13, Jerry “theFranchize” Gaylord will be at TABLE N14, and Penelope “Peng-Peng” Gaylord will be at TABLE N15. here’s a nice map that leads you straight to us.
this time, we’re flanked by some of the coolest ladies of art – Mako Fufu at Table N12 and Whitney Pollet at Table N16. it’s gonna be quite the row of tables and you may never wanna leave. which is totally fine by us.
we have lots of new prints, including some new Premium Art Prints and Peng-Peng’s limited-edition Star Wars litho from Acme Archives Direct. we’ve also reprinted some of our mini artbooks that were sold out previously. we’ll have comics that we’ve worked on as well AND we’ll be doing sketches all weekend long.
also, theFranchize will be doing a demo at the ColArt booth on THURSDAY from NOON-1PM. he’ll be showing off the new Winsor & Newton Pigment Markers for everybody so be sure to check that out. it’s gonna be one heck of a weekend!
since the studio is finally done with back to back to back comic cons/events, all the pictures from the shows have finally been posted on our ID STUDIOS facebook page! from the Baltimore Book Festival, to Awesome Con Indy, to NYCC, to Annapolis Con, and finally Halloween ComicFest – it’s all there! head on over there and take a look! give us a LIKE too, if you haven’t already done that. here’s just a few!
Special Edition: NYC is upon us already! come and find TheFranchize, Peng-Peng, and Flash at the Javitz Center in New York City this weekend! we’ll be at TABLES K1/K2 Saturday and Sunday. we’ll have prints (large and small), comics, and original art with us. as always, we’ll be doing sketches all weekend long so get us early.
so New York Comic Con was almost a month ago and we’ve all been playing catch-up from the busy con season we just had. catching up on work, catching up on family times, catching up on lots of things. NYCC has always been an incredible show and this year it did not disappoint. we met some new people, saw some familiar faces, and just had a blast. New York City is tough to deal with if you’re not familiar but other than that, the show is definitely worth the trip. these are just some of the pics from our time at NYCC. the rest are on our ID Facebook page. follow the link and take a look! and if u haven’t already done so, give our page a LIKE so u can be up to date on our shenanigans!

looks like Penelope “Peng-Peng” Gaylord was included in an article on Buzzfeed.com while at New York Comic Con. the article – 20 Pieces of Advice for Female Artists from Female Artists. head on over to the article and read what her other fellow lady artists are saying.
we’re gearing up to head out to the big apple for east coast’s largest comic con, NEW YORK COMIC CON! be sure to stop at our tables in artist alley – TABLES P3-P4 and snag some cool ID Studios art. this is the last con of the year that all 4 members of the studio will be there – Peng-Peng, theFranchize, Flash, and Domo. we’ll have prints, books, comics and original pages/art for sale. and of course, we’ll be doing convention commissions. if you plan on getting a commission, be sure to come by early and put your name on the list. this con is so big that our lists get pretty full pretty quickly each day.
we’ve even participated in NYCC’s charity auction to benefit St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital. Peng donated the La Luna piece inspired by one of Pixar’s animated shorts. this is mixed media with watercolor, colored pencils, copic markers, and ink. theFranchize donated the original pinup art of his Batman pinup as well as the latest Superman that he drew, along with a copy of the print. the auction is being held on Saturday night, Oct. 12th. for more info on the auction, check out NYCC’s website
we couldn’t be more excited if we tried. see you all there! ~peng
